To bring your own router (BYOR) for use with Avative Internet service, you’ll need to make sure that your router meets the following minimum specs for your chosen plan:
For plans up to 1 Gig Speeds:
- Wi-Fi 6 or 6E (802.11ax)
- Supports gigabit wired speeds
- 1000Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet) or faster ethernet port for internet connection
- 1000Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet) or faster ethernet port for local network (LAN)
- Minimum WPA2 Security
For 2 Gig Speeds:
- Wi-Fi 6 or 6E (802.11ax)
- Supports multi-gigabit wired speeds
- 2500Base-T (2.5 Gigabit Ethernet) or faster ethernet port for internet connection (WAN)
- 2500Base-T (2.5 Gigabit Ethernet) or faster ethernet port for local network (LAN)
- Minimum WPA2 Security
For 5 Gig Speeds:
- Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) or WiFi 7 (802.11be)
- Supports multi-gigabit wired speeds
- 5000Base-T (5 Gigabit Ethernet) or faster ethernet port for internet connection (WAN)
- 5000Base-T (5 Gigabit Ethernet) or faster ethernet port for local network (LAN)
- Minimum WPA3 Security
For 10 Gig Speeds:
- Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) or WiFi 7 (802.11be)
- Supports multi-gigabit wired speeds
- 10GBase-T (10 Gigabit Ethernet) or SFP+ for internet connection (WAN)
- 10GBase-T (10 Gigabit Ethernet) or SFP+ for local network (LAN)
- Minimum WPA3 Security
